That’s not the setup for a bad joke, but an accurate description of the contents of The Pink Hydra Number Three, our queerest and weirdest issue yet. With a robust mix of the tragic and hilarious, the historical and modern, the grounded and dreamy, we hope you’ll have as much fun reading as we did.

With Friday the 13th falling in this September, we’ve made this our honorary Spooky Month, and included delightfully creepy contributions by New York poet Paige Eaton, newcomer Grant Sable, and sometime editor Steve Levandoski, alongside all the romance and adventure we’re known for, including established writers such as Catherine George, Holly Schofield and Daniel Ausema side-by-side with a slew of new faces.
